So I went and started my own Youtube channel finally. I’ve been wanting to do it for years now. I had about 2000 excuses and they were growing by the day: no camera, don’t know how to edit, too difficult, and on and on.
I became tired of my own excuses and just started. I bought an old second hand Sony action camera and just started filming. I’ve also been learning how to edit video with Cyberlink PowerDirector. It’s not as impossible as I first thought but I still have lots to learn.
My first video is a walk through my neighbourhood in Istanbul, Turkey while it was snowing. I’ve been here for about five months now and still wake up with a smile everyday.
It could be one of the worst made videos on youtube but it’s a start! And it’s a great way of keeping memories, so, I feel it’s a win.
My second video is of me drawing a pair of shoes. Actually it started as a simple line drawing of my winter shoes and then turned into a mixed media painting/drawing.
It was probably a better drawing than it is a painting, but I didn’t feel like stopping. The HB pencil that I had just wasn’t dark enough, so I reached for a pen, then an acrylic marker, then finally I just went with acrylic paints.
Also, see my How to Paint Shoes video where I paint my favorite Birkenstock sandals.
Have a look and let me know if you think I should have stopped at the pencil drawing. Please subscribe to my channel too as I’ll try to put a new art video up every week. Let know about your art channel on youtube too and I might subscribe.

And a nested reply to a comment. I wonder what that looks like Mr Dion.
I think I might have to start posting more regularly.
I’m liking the idea of having an art blog again π¨π¨π¨πΌπΌπΌ

I wonder if the comments go 3 levels in? I don’t know, I’ve never used this function. Let’s see how this comment posts when I reply to my reply..lol
Ps.. if you’re reading this comment, what do you think of my How to draw a pair of shoes demonstration video on youtube? Have you done any drawing videos of your own?
