It’s been more than a year since I have updated my site so I figured I should do an update post before I start posting some new paintings for sale. If you follow me on social media then you’ll probably already know that I am back in Australia after about 18 months in Istanbul, Turkey.
It was an amazing time and I loved every day of it but that chapter has finished now and I have to get busy on the next chapter.
I have been working on small acrylic paintings as I don’t have a proper studio to work on larger oil paintings. I’ve always struggled with acrylics as I expected them to act like oils do. It took about fifteen paintings to realise that they’re different and I shouldn’t be forcing acrylic paints to behave like oil paints. It was at that point that I started feeling comfortable with the medium.
Paintings For Sale
So, the plan for the rest of this year is to post at least one new painting each week. It’ll be a small painting available for sale and will include free postage worldwide.
I’ll post the painting for sale on the various social media accounts that I have or you can check back here each Friday.
They’ll mostly be paintings of the things that surround me. I’m gardening a lot so there will be plants, there will be a few paintings of Istanbul that I’m still finishing off, and there will be paintings of Newcastle and Maitland.
